Australia Pacific Earth Charter +10 Festival – Brisbane September 2010

The Festival is a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the launch of the Earth Charter and will focus on our collective ability to respond to the major impacts of climate change, the global financial crisis and regional conflicts using the values and principles of the Earth Charter as a way forward. The Festival will bring people to Brisbane from across Australia and from neighbouring countries in the Pacific region to share ideas in an atmosphere of celebration and collaboration.

  •  Day One – Inspiration - Thursday September 16
  •  Day Two – Action – Friday September 17
  •  Day Three, Four, Five – Celebration – Saturday September 18

The festival will partner with the International Day of Peace and also allied groups, events and exhibitions with community organisations across Brisbane. The line up for these Festival activities will expand as the festival program develops.

Workshops during the day of Action will result in recommendations being taken to a plenary session on the third day to determine a ‘statement of action’ in the form of a Brisbane Declaration as a roadmap for the next decade.

We are taking expressions of interest for presentations.
